I want to know, how can they call it free credit report? they get your credit card number and do what they wish. they basicly got their hands in your pocket and keep billing you.even if you call them and ask to stop billing because you do not want their service they bill you any way, and bill you every month, free credit report is not free, just crooks. buyer beware, cause there go’s your credit if you get caught with overdraft, using your debit card. free credit report is a rip off!

I have several negative items on my credit report that will expire after the 7-year limit next year (2002 was a wild one!). I have paid some and others are still on there as collection or charge-off. I have nothing negative since 2002 but I have a lot of student loans in repayment and no active credit cards. How many points can I expect my credit score to rise once the last negative items expire?

I applied for a credit card a while back, and I was declined. This was rather surprising to me, because I’ve got good credit. Anyway, I got an email from the cc company today stating the reason for my rejection: ” The amount of your purchase required a credit bureau report. We were unable to retrieve a report from a consumer reporting agency.” Now, what? I retrieved my credit score just the other day and it was in the low 700s–so I know that I’ve *got* a credit score. I applied and got approved for a different credit card just a few weeks before I applied for this one, however–could that have been what went wrong? In any case, should I be worried that they couldn’t retrieve my credit report? That just seems awfully strange, and I’m not sure if I need to talk to someone at a credit bureau, or something. . .any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I am in the process of trying to buy a home and recently reviewed my credit report. I noticed that one account was still reported as opened with a balance. About 4 years ago, I had a credit card account with Conseco Greentree Financial services. The balance was sold off to another company when Conseco went bankrupt. I’ve since paid off the balance. I called the company that serviced the loan and they said there’s nothing they can do since they don’t appear anywhere on my credit report. How cn I get this fixed? I can get Conseco to fix this since they are no longer in existence! HELP!!
