I purchased a new car with a loan it was then totaled then payed off. I got another car loan by then my credit score took a hit with dealerships running my credit 30 times! I have plans to trade it in as I am not happy at the end of this yr. What is the best way to improve my credit score in a year so I can get the best loan rate possible??

there are over 1,700 items that go into your credit score

so – keep a steady job
do not apply for credit everywhere you go – looks ‘desperate’
do not have existing credit maxed out – i.e. ‘at limit’
pay all bills on time
pay off as much as you can – or pay it down as much as you can

have a great 2008!

The most important thing is to pay all of your bills on time. Also, something I’ve found useful is a book by Suze Orman call “Young, Fabulous and Broke.” It deal with credit rating and how to help achive a better score. Also has good finacial advice for those of us who don’t know much about the financial lingo and what we should do.

pull your credit report and start paying on all charged off and old accounts.
