No, your credit score will be preserved if you obtain your annual credit report. You will need to contact the credit bureau directly, whether it be Experian, TransUnion, or Equifax (all three of which can be done through annualcreditreport.com).
These companies also offer unlimited credit checks for a monthly fee so that you may check your credit on a periodic basis. These credit reports do not have an effect on your credit score.
Many people ask their bank to pull their credit. If you happen to do so, this may negatively impact your credit score because it will register as a hard “hit” with the credit bureau. Your best bet is to contact the bureaus directly.
