All the credit report sites except Equifax.com, myfico.com, transunion.com and experian.com are ripoffs. In most cases they use experian which unfortunately uses only their plus scoring model which doesn’t help at all. The reason why I say it is the following. With Experian you may see 720 (plus scoring) but your real Fico Score is 630. Believe me, I had to learn that the hard way. If you want a correct report and a correct score just go to equifax.com and be done with it. Believe me I had to learn all that what I tell you the hardway. If you want your free report which by law you are entitled to please go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com

I copied & pasted this from the:
http://www.ftc.gov/credit website.
Q: How do I order my free report?
A: The three nationwide consumer reporting companies have set up a central website, a toll-free telephone number, and a mailing address through which you can order your free annual report.
To order, visit annualcreditreport.com, call 1-877-322-8228 , or complete the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mail it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. The form is on the back of this brochure; or you can print it from ftc.gov/credit. Do not contact the three nationwide consumer reporting companies individually. They are providing free annual credit reports only through annualcreditreport.com, 1-877-322-8228 , and Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281.
You may order your reports from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies at the same time, or you can order your report from each of the companies one at a time. The law allows you to order one free copy of your report from each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies every 12 months.

GOOD Question! I did sign up with them – and I have gotten a very poor score up to a mid fair score in less than 6 months.
I also keep better tabs on my credit – and it doesn’t really cost that much.

Because people will think it is the FTC mandated site to access your free reports.
Go to AnnualCreditReport.com. That’s the FTC mandated site to access your free credit reports for all three credit bureaus online. It is the only site that doesn’t require you to sign up for monitoring services.
Reports are free but you have to pay for your score. If you want your score, go to MyFico.com. You will get REAL FICO not the Fako scores that a couple of the credit bureaus use.
