All Americans are entitled to one free credit report within a 12-month period from each of the three agencies. You can visit www.annualcreditreport.com, where you can get your free credit report, but not credit scores. Credit scores are available as an add-on feature of the report, for a fee. This central site allows you to request a free credit file disclosure, commonly called a credit report, from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.

If you want it online, go to annualcreditreport.com for all 3 reports. If you want it by mail, call Trans Union toll free @ 1-877-322-8228 for all 3 free reports. IT will probably take 2 to 3 weeks by mail.

http://www.annualcreditreport.com will give you one every year without having to sign up with a credit monitoring service like you have to with freecreditreport.com.

Through one of the three major credit bureaus: TransUnion, Equifax or Experian. Don’t visit any “free credit report” websites other than these because they are often riddled with “offer applies if you sign up for this service” kind of deals that end up costing you money.
