Simple really.
If you look at a persons credit report and find, charge offs, collections, late pays, repossessions, foreclosures, bankruptcy’s, tax liens or judgments you know that they don’t manage their finances very well.
So if they cant manage their own finances why would you want them managing yours?

A credit report can tell a lot about an individual.
It can tell prospective employers if you are reliable,
do you have a history of late/non payments(irresponsible)
do you have a stable home life(been at same location for xx years)
How we manage our finances/responsibilities tells volumes about a person.
Lets look at our own government. one can look at the state of affairs of the USA and come to the conclusion that they are not very good at managing the best interest of the people.
Meaning, I wouldnt hire any of them based on how they have demontrated their abilty to manage responsibility

Often employers use your credit history to gauge your level of responsibility. Whether a valid assumption or not, some employers believe if you are not reliable in paying your bills, then you will not be a reliable employee. Unfortunately, a bad credit report can work against you in your search for employment.
In addition to your payment history, a credit report typically includes information about your former addresses and previous employers. Employers can use this as one way to verify the accuracy of information you provide on an application or resume.
