As stated https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i… is the only real free site. You can request just one credit report from a single credit reporting agency at a time and spread it over a years period. This helps keep any eye on your credit. Most credit agencies have the same information listed anyways.
Under federal law, you’re also entitled to a free report if a company takes adverse action against you, such as denying your application for credit, insurance, or employment, based on information in your report. You must ask for your report within 60 days of receiving notice of the action. The notice will give you the name, address, and phone number of the consumer reporting company.

Yes, there is the federal mandated site; annualcreditreport.com. You get 1 free report each year and you can get all three bureaus from here (do not sign up for anything in the fly by adds–it is a free site). A credit score is $8.

Free Credit Report crams their home page with info and requires a credit card and small print your opt-out option if you don’t cancel w/i 7 days. Download and immediately call to opt-out. T
