Delete negatives from your report today!
I have some old history on closed accounts that I want to get off my credit report but first I need to know how to get the report. Some say they are free but you have to sign up for something else.

The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires that U.S. consumers be entitled to a free credit report each year. The government’s goal is to make sure that consumers stay informed, fight identity theft, and get fair treatment. This is the government mandated website where you can get 1 free credit report from the 3 agencies for free in one year:
AnnualCreditReport.com http://www.annualcreditreport.com
You can get your FREE credit report from the 3 credit reporting agencies — it is ABSOLUTELY FREE and the site will not even ask for your credit card information

To boost your credit score:
The first thing you will need to do is call the three major credit reporting agencies and request a free copy of your credit report.
http://www.equifax.com
http://www.experian.com
http://www.transunion.com
Then once you get those in the mail (7-10 days) there will be a dispute form attached to the reports. Fill those out for every negative account on your report regardless. Fax, mail go online whatever it takes to get those submitted as quickly as possible. Then those companies must answer your dispute within 30 days or it is removed from your credit report completely. So that will eliminate some things, hopefully.
Good Luck!

The best credit report you want to get is the one that lenders use to find out what your interest rate on loans should be. The free credit report score is for your consumer credit score. This tends to be higher than the lender credit score which you have to pay for but is your better bet. One recommended site is “FICO.com” but there are many more. Make sure it provides the report that lenders use.

You can pull your credit report from each of the 3 credit bureaus once a year for free. That is the law.
Equifax
Experion
TransUnion
When you pull that report, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR CREDIT MONITORING or anything else. Just get your credit report and get out. They will attempt to trick you into signing up for services so pay attention to what you’re doing.
Here is some easy to read information from the Federal Trade Commission on how to do this.http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/cred…

Equifax. Look them up. There’s a branch near Sheppard and Yonge.

All credit reporting companies, must by Federal Law, provide you with a FREE credit report 1 time a year upon your request.
Good luck
